We go beyond the Brannock device. Our fitters evaluate your arch height, foot width, pronation patterns, and the demands of your daily life whether that's standing all day at work, hiking trails, or chasing toddlers.

A journey through time
1949
Kerrisdale Bootery opens on West 41st Avenue in Vancouver's Kerrisdale neighbourhood.
1960s
Becomes the go-to family shoe store for the west side. Generations begin returning.
1980s
Expands into comfort and orthopedic footwear, pioneering expert fitting in Vancouver.
2000s
Embraces premium European brands like Birkenstock, Naot, and ECCO alongside trusted North American labels.
2020s
Navigates a global pandemic, strengthens community ties, and begins planning the move to Lougheed Town Centre.
2025
Opens at Lougheed Town Centre, same expertise, bigger space, easier access for the whole Lower Mainland.

Meet John Lewis

John has been fitting shoes for over 20 years. As the owner of Kerrisdale Bootery, he brings a rare combination of deep product knowledge, genuine warmth, and the kind of patience that makes every customer feel heard.

"Most people come in thinking they know their size," John says. "But sizing varies so much between brands that a number alone doesn't tell you much. I look at the whole picture — how you walk, what you do all day, what's been hurting. That's how we find the right shoe."

John personally curates every brand on the shelves, visiting trade shows and testing products to ensure Kerrisdale Bootery only carries footwear that delivers on its promise of comfort and quality.
